6 things that make me happy

i was tagged by poeta fit, non nascitur, thanks i love doing stuff like this =)

the rules are, mention the person who nominated you, list 6 important things that make you happy. tag 5 blogs. state the rules. notify them with a teeny comment on their blog that they have been nominated. =D

1) a single red balloon.
i really like the movie Le Ballon Rouge and after watching a few times i loved the concept of just having one single red balloon.

2) jazz music.
listening to jazz artists like Benny Golson, Miles Davis, Art Farmer, and Thelonius Monk reminds me of new york. i can imagine walking around the city and passing central park and it puts me in a good mood. its food for my soul.

3) old movies.
black and white, musicals, silent films, i love them all.

4) The song "My Favorite Things"
When I was younger I loved The Sound of Music.
"brown paper packages tied up with strings, these are a few of my favorite things"

5) Red velvet cupcakes.

6) The Philippines.
Every summer growing up my parents would take me to the Philippines for vacation and i would spend my whole summer there with my entire family. Its my second home and i miss it and my family very much. I still can't believe I turned down a chance to go to school there for 4 years.

What a lovely post, dear! <3

Great choices and i can totally understand why you'd miss such a (i think) beautiful country as the Phillipines. Not that i've ever been there.. ;)

Keep the great blog going!

are you a fellow pinoy? i had no idea!

great job on the tag dear! i love jazz music too though i'm still a jazz neophyte. i've listened to the big guys (i.e. miles davis, etc.) and i love 'em!

i'm afraid my patience has limits and i can't sit through silent movies much. but if i really try, i think i'll be able to.

Hello! So nice to be tagged =)

That photo of Manila is lovely. Lovely! I think it's the Mandaluyong/San Juan/Pasig skyline. I love this country, too. It's paradise!

Oh, and when you're here, do try the red velvet cake of Karen's Kitchen. To live for!
