Demoiselle

Chesley Mclaren's clothing line Demoiselle.
Spring 2008.
A modern 1800s look.
Chic, innovative and inspirational looks.
I love these outfits.

A simple red dress with an adorable white ribbon in the back.

I love this purple empire coat. It reminds me of something a pirate would wear or the men during the 1800s.

A beautiful lace dress with a bright red lace under.

The dress and the coat are my absolute favorites. The dress is so simple and delicate and the coat is a beautiful color and the design is amazing.

Blackbird

singing in the dead of night
Take These broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free

Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly,
Into the light of the dark black night

Paul Smith

I am in need of some new wardrobe for fall/winter. I have been looking for some inspiration for some new outfits and i have found Paul Smith's fall/winter 2008 collection. Here are some pictures from his Black collection.

This outfit reminds of Annie Hall, but with a skirt. I love it, especially the bag.

These are some pictures from his 'Paul' collection.

6 things that make me happy

i was tagged by poeta fit, non nascitur, thanks i love doing stuff like this =)

the rules are, mention the person who nominated you, list 6 important things that make you happy. tag 5 blogs. state the rules. notify them with a teeny comment on their blog that they have been nominated. =D

1) a single red balloon.
i really like the movie Le Ballon Rouge and after watching a few times i loved the concept of just having one single red balloon.

2) jazz music.
listening to jazz artists like Benny Golson, Miles Davis, Art Farmer, and Thelonius Monk reminds me of new york. i can imagine walking around the city and passing central park and it puts me in a good mood. its food for my soul.

3) old movies.
black and white, musicals, silent films, i love them all.

4) The song "My Favorite Things"
When I was younger I loved The Sound of Music.
"brown paper packages tied up with strings, these are a few of my favorite things"

5) Red velvet cupcakes.
Yummy!

6) The Philippines.
Every summer growing up my parents would take me to the Philippines for vacation and i would spend my whole summer there with my entire family. Its my second home and i miss it and my family very much. I still can't believe I turned down a chance to go to school there for 4 years.
