So many choices, so many possibilities.

Each road is long and winding.

Each with its own dangers.

All the roads lead to an ending with infinite possibilities.

One ending with stability and a life almost perfectly planned out.

But will I find happiness there?

Another with an ending hazy as a heavy foggy day.

Will I find something hidden beyond the fog or end up lost in the haze?

Unsure of where to go.

I stand at the crossroads reading the signs, going over every possibility.

Which is right?

Which is worth all the dangers?

Which will make me happy?

Which way do I go?

To those who still look in on my blog from time to time, I'm sorry for the very long absence.

This past year I have been dealing with many changes.

I have been learning to work through these new changes.

Trying to become stronger and grow from them.

It has been on tough year so far with its many ups and downs.

Let just say I'm still learning to deal with it all.

Well, I'm back and hopefully I won't leave on a very long hiatus again, because I have missed doing this.

I've missed being able to express myself and share things with others.

Acoustic Guitar

I have always wanted to learn to play the acoustic guitar.

I have mentioned in a previous blog (Resolutions) how I would want to take lessons, so far that has not happened yet, but I hope to soon.

My main reason for wanting to do this is because I want to play "Moon River" on the guitar, like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

If that's all I learn on the guitar that would be fine with me, but this is something that I would really like to do.

We search in the darkness, hoping for something to light our way and guide us or searching for something that makes us content.

There is path I wish to take which is unlike any that people are not expecting me to take.

There is a fear of failure and getting lost in it all.

There is constant questioning and wonder by others.

I say to you, you the one who doubts and anticipates my failure,

it is my own path I am taking and you need not worry about my failure, if I ever reach that point.

You say you try to lead me from this dark, unknown path I take, but I feel no security.

I appreciate your concern and your sentiment, but our paths are not the same.

You have heard me speak of something greater, but never really listened.

You say you are friend, but when I try to find a confidant in you, you find fault in my hopes.

I may stumble and get lost, but it is my own doing not yours.

I would rather fall and get lost on my own terms than by your unassuring guidance.

2009.

A new year, new beginnings.

These are my three resolutions that I will definitely try to follow.

1. Eat healthy and exercise more.

Simple and not as extreme as saying "go on a diet" because diets don't work for me.

2. Fix up my room.

I need to take out the clutter and rearrange it. I want to decorate it to make the atmosphere more free and bright.

Here are some rooms that inspire some designs for my room change.

3. Take up a new hobby,

I have wanted to learn how to play the acoustic guitar

take ballroom dance classes.

I want to learn how do latin dancing like the cha-cha, the salsa, and the tango.

Also, work on my waltz and learn swing dancing.

I am attempting to get in touch with my inner Ginger Rogers.

The dress and the coat are my absolute favorites. The dress is so simple and delicate and the coat is a beautiful color and the design is amazing.

1) a single red balloon.

i really like the movie Le Ballon Rouge and after watching a few times i loved the concept of just having one single red balloon.

2) jazz music.

listening to jazz artists like Benny Golson, Miles Davis, Art Farmer, and Thelonius Monk reminds me of new york. i can imagine walking around the city and passing central park and it puts me in a good mood. its food for my soul.

3) old movies.

black and white, musicals, silent films, i love them all.

4) The song "My Favorite Things"

When I was younger I loved The Sound of Music.

6) The Philippines.

Every summer growing up my parents would take me to the Philippines for vacation and i would spend my whole summer there with my entire family. Its my second home and i miss it and my family very much. I still can't believe I turned down a chance to go to school there for 4 years.

Distant Places

I am itching to go out and travel. I always get this feeling of wanting to go out and see the world. There is this strong uncontrollable urge in me that I can't explain. I just want to pack up and go.

I just want to fly away and leave everything behind me. I want to see the world. I want to see every inch of it.

There are so many beautiful places to explore and visit. I want to explore and go to places that people can only image to visit in their dreams. I want to make my dreams into reality.

There is this hunger in me that wants to bask in all the wonderful different cultures. Its like I have this unsettling soul that just needs to constantly change her scenery and finds fulfillment in different places, other than home.

My head is just spinning thinking about it. Traveling is so addicting. Once you have had a taste of what life outside of your home is like, you will want to see more. There is so much to do, so much to see.

I have traveled many times before and every time it feels amazing just to be out and about. Just experiencing a whole range of eclectic cultures feels exhilarating. Visiting beautiful country-sides, walking through a crowded city, sleeping in hotels that have been there since the time of Louis XIV and just riding on a train to a new destination completely different only a few hours away.

Traveling is what I love. If I could just pack up and leave right now, I would. I need to experience so much more.

Coco Chanel

I watched the Lifetime channel movie on Coco Chanel Saturday night and I must say Chanel is definitely a wonderful designer. Though the movie did not have the best dialogue in the "professing of love" scenes with its stereotypical lines, for an introduction to the life of one of the world's most inspiring, innovative, fashion-forward designers, it was good.

Just watching the movie, I became inspired and wish that I could create beautiful garments that many people adored and loved. Chanel was an amazing designer who was so ahead of her time. She did not care if her clothing was so out of the ordinary that people did not understand it. She did what she did because she loved what she was doing and it was her passion.

I love movies like this, that show these amazing and talented people who show the world their amazing creations.

I am even more excited for Coco avant Chanel movie starring Audrey Tautou (one of my favorite actresses) which is suppose to come out next year. Something to look forward to in the future.
